Decisions regarding placement in choirs are at the Directors' discretion. After registration form is received, director will contact you for a voice check. Payment may be made after finalizing choir placement.
Students of any religious background are welcome to join, however, the literature and values of the choirs will reflect a traditional Christian faith. Parents will need to sign a legal release form and students/parents will abide by a code of conduct.
Elementary Director & High School Accompanist
Kendra Husband was raised in a musical family with many of her favorite memories happening around the piano. Her love for music was encouraged through singing in school choirs, ensembles and with her family singing group. She received a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music, and a Masters of Music from the University of South Carolina. She was a member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). Her experience includes Director of Music at Blacknall Presbyterian Church in Durham, NC, pianist at several churches, guest music director and worship leader for various conferences, retreats and churches. She homeschooled her three daughters for 13 years and enjoys performing with them as cast members of Narroway Christian Theatre. She is also a voice teacher and accompanist with the Clover HS Choraliers, and is the staff pianist at Clover First Baptist Church. She and her family live in York, SC, and are active with Relevant Church. Mechelle Wong has been involved in music since a young age. At the age of sixteen, she felt a deep call from the Lord to be involved in music ministry. After graduating high school, Mechelle attended Seattle Pacific University where she received her BA in Church Music with an emphasis in choral directing and piano performance. Since graduating, Mechelle has directed church choirs of all ages, accompanied church choirs, sang in choirs and ensembles, taught piano lessons, led worship, and directed a homeschool children’s choir ages 7-12. She has been homeschooling her two daughters for 14 years, with the oldest graduated from college. Currently, Mechelle enjoys sharing her love of music by teaching piano lessons, accompanying the Voices of Carolina’s High School Choir, and being one of the worship leaders at St. Giles Presbyterian Church in Charlotte where her family is also involved in worship ministry.
